15th annual Mutt Strut forced to go virtual during COVID-19 outbreak

Another popular local event has been relegated to the internet thanks to COVID-19. The 15th annual Mutt Strut, set for Sept. 12, will be going virtual this year.

The event, put on by Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit (FAMD) and Dearborn Family Pet Care, will try to raise money for the shelter this year with an online-only portion of the event.

“With the challenges of holding an in-person event due to local restrictions in place and the concern for the health and safety of our participants, we have made the difficult decision to make the 2020 Mutt Strut a virtual event,” said FAMD marketing and communications manager Sarah Rood.
