Adoption Special: Lovables

These are exceptional dogs and cats that are “diamonds in the rough”.  They may have never felt the love of a human.  They may have lived on the end of a chain or in a cage and never experienced living in a house. They may be strong and very active dogs or timid and under socialized cats  As a result, these dogs and cats will need more patience, compassion and understanding to help them shine. With a little extra TLC, these deserving animals will give back more than humanly possible. Typically, these are dogs & cats who have been patiently waiting for their forever homes for longer than our other guests. This includes senior pets and those pets with special needs. For some reason unbeknownst to staff and volunteers, they are overlooked, even though they will make wonderful pets. They have won our hearts. Please give them a chance to win yours.
  • Lovables adoption fee for cats is $30
  • Lovables adoption fee for dogs is $100.

Working Cats:

These are displaced outdoor cats or cats that are so under socialized, living as the typical companion cat is not their cup of tea.  With some acclimation, they can learn their keep doing rodent control in a barn or warehouse type environment.  All fees are waived for these fabulous felines.

Heritage Adoptions:

This fee applies to some purebred or high demand adoptable dogs and cats. The money raised by Heritage adoptions helps us care for and treat many other pets who need longer or more extensive care before they can be adopted. We provide valuable care and treatment for thousands of animals every year and they all are important to us. The Heritage adoptions play an integral role in providing a heritage of care for those animals who are harder to place in loving homes. Adoption fee includes our valuable package of sterilization, microchip and age appropriate vaccinations.

We offer the test for $20.00 at the time of adoption (a value of $45.00). Cats that are available for adoption at our offsite Cat Centers have been tested for these viruses and the cost is included in the adoption fee.
