Cabbage is an intelligent (like so smart), spunky, loving pup that has a lot of energy. She is a Heeler/hound dog mix and is 8-months-old. She enjoys snuggles, playing fetch, belly rubs, and tearing apart her favorite toys.
Cabbage is up to date on all shots, is on heartworm preventative (simparica trio), and she is spayed and microchipped.
Cabbage needs to be the only dog in the home as she has resource guarding tendencies. Her resource guarding is only towards other dogs, she has no aggression towards humans.
Cabbage is house trained and will let you know when she needs to potty by going to the door and/or whining.
She has separation anxiety and would be a good fit for someone who works from home or lives with multiple people so she doesn’t have to be left alone too often.
As a high energy dog cabbage also requires a home with a yard.

What we are looking for in a new family:
– Someone(s) with breed-specific knowledge and experience (has had cattle dogs in the past)
– Someone(s) who either is a dog trainer or has financial means to hire a professional trainer
– Someone(s) who hike, run, and/or go for long walks at least 3 days per week
– As stated above she needs to be the only dog in the home and should not be brought to dog parks

While Cabbage has many specific needs, she is also a dream dog for an active individual, couple, or family who has patience for her puppy antics and separation anxiety.
