Opal is a very loving dog that for the first 8 1/2 years were great growing up with her brother another pit. Unfortunately another female pit came into the house and Opal and this other female did not get along. Opal was abandoned and ended up at the humane society. Luckley she was chipped and I found out by the person who abandoned her where she was. I went and got her back in October and had her since. My problem is that I have two dogs already which one of them is Opals sister. I can’t have 3 dogs,I have her in my attached garage with heat and her crate and a couch. My wife and I take turns rotating between the dogs so they get attention they need. But Opal needs a home were she can be the queen, I don’t recommend her with another dog unless it’s a puppy where she can be the alpha, because Opal’s problem is she needs to be the boss, That’s what happened originally, Two females wanting to be the Boss caused fights. I have known Opal since she was a puppy, She can be very energetic when she wants to be but since I have had her she is more of a couch potato most times. I have had her to my vet and got her shots all updated and I had her checked for heartworm, everything came back good. the only issue I see is her hind legs get sore if she overdoes it running around, I assume it’s arthritis at her age.
