Want to spend a day or a few hours with a shelter dog? Come check out Doggy Day Out at FAMD!

Our new program pairs visitors with adoptable dogs for an unforgettable adventure! This program allows our dogs to enjoy a day outside of the shelter and some one on one time with a human companion. We will provide you pet friendly locations and supplies for your field trip, you provide the love! To participate, please contact Theresa at FAMDDogDayOut@metrodetroitanimals.org

Our Doggy Day Outs are generally held every Saturday, from 9am-1pm. Popular activities include: walks/hikes, trips to local parks, visits to dog-friendly stores and restaurants, Starbucks for puppacinos, or just a day at home watching movies on the couch.
