FAMD Names Cory Keller as New President and CEO

Cory Keller has been named president and CEO at Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit (FAMD), Board Chair MaryAnn Wright announced today. He begins the position on March 13.

With 17 years of animal welfare experience, Keller is currently the manager, Animal Care and Control Division for the City of Cleveland. His prior positions include serving as the executive director, Berea Animal Rescue Friends and operations director for Geauga Humane Society’s Rescue Village.  He is a graduate of DeVry University.

“FAMD has a big year ahead as we prepare to move all of our operations into the MaryAnn Wright Animal Adoption and Education Center on Reckinger and expand our footprint,” said Keller.  “I am energized by the FAMD vision and future plans and I look forward to becoming an active part of the metro Detroit community of animal lovers. “
