Friends for Animals announces new “Home for The Holidays” Christmas Eve adoption initiative. Adoptable dogs and cats can be placed on hold and delivered to their new homes, starting Sunday, December 15 and ending Sunday, December 22. Delivery of pets will be from noon to 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24.
“We know during the holiday season, many people in our community do consider adding a new family member to their household. We wanted to celebrate and help potential adopters find the best pet for their family or loved ones while embracing the magic of the upcoming holidays. Our wonderful team will help facilitate this and deliver their new furry family member on Christmas Eve. We have so many wonderful animals deserving of a second chance and would love to see them in homes for the holidays,” said Cory Keller, President and CEO.
Potential adopters can expect to supply their contact information and address where the animal will be delivered, as well as a photo release so that Friends for Animals staff and volunteers can take videos and photos to be posted on social media, spreading the holiday cheer. There will be an additional donation for the “magical elves” to deliver the new furry family members to the adopters’ homes.
The radius for delivery is 35 miles. The organization has also created gift certificates available for purchase for those who want to give the gift of a pet but are unsure who their loved one may want to adopt.
